Not every slab needs the same specs. A shed pad and a pole barn floor carrying farm equipment have very different load requirements — we size the thickness and reinforcement to what's actually going on top of it.
Standard residential garage floors are poured at 4 inches with wire mesh reinforcement, sloped slightly toward the door for drainage. If you're parking a work truck, trailer, or plan to use the space as a shop with heavy equipment, we'll spec a thicker slab with rebar instead of mesh.
This is strong, steady demand throughout the rural parts of our service area — Jackson's growing subdivisions, and especially out toward Scott City and Perryville where larger lots are common. RV pads take significant point loads from leveling jacks and need to be sized for your specific rig with room to maneuver. Pole barn and shop slabs need to handle equipment weight and often benefit from a thicker pour with rebar throughout rather than just mesh at the edges.
Smaller shed and storage building pads are usually 4 inches, sized exactly to the building footprint plus a few inches of overhang. These are quick pours, typically done in a single day including base prep.
